MARK HARRISON VFX
FILMS before 2014
Over the course of eight months I worked as CG Supervisor at Outpost VFX on the film. The time spent on this film was an incredible and fun experience. We've created some stunning visual work and looked forward to its release to show what a team of seven Artist could achieve.
Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallow Part 1 & 2
For the better part of a year I worked as a Look develoment and Senior lighting TD on both films of the Harry Potter finale.
The sequence shows a more comprehensive look at the work I contributed to the film and includes shots not in the showreel.
Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides
Ropes, Lots and lots of ropes.
The look development of ropes isn't as easy as it sounds. As with most of the big films I have worked on the visual effects were rendered in Renderman. The ropes were carefully textured and required the use MPC's propriotry fur system to generate the hairs to make the ropes look authentic.
NOTE: As with a number of demos on this page, the content within the visual effeccts shots was created by a colaberation of skilled vfx artist. My part in this particular show was primarily the rope Look development and Lighting setup.
Wrath of the Titans
Clash of the Titans
The Films climatic visual effects sequence was done entirely by the production crew at MPC. It was a great experience to rejoin the Film department after an 18 month break working in commercials.
Fundimentailly my time on the project involved some look development and the participation in the Lighting of the Harpies persuit of Persieus through Argos city.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Not for the sqeamish this one.
In this feature I worked as a 3D Generalist. We used maya's particle system to create the hornet swarm.
Always wanted to work on a Tim Burton film.
Primarily worked as a Look development Artist/Senior Lighting TD.
